David and Goliath: God’s Strength in Challenges

Introduction: Have you ever faced a challenge that seemed too big to overcome? That’s how young David felt when he stood before the giant Goliath. But with faith in God, David showed that no challenge is too big when God is on your side! In 1 Samuel 17, the Israelites were facing the Philistine army. Every day, a giant named Goliath mocked them, daring someone to fight him. Everyone was terrified except David, a young shepherd boy. David believed that God would help him defeat the giant. Armed with just a sling, five smooth stones, and faith, David faced Goliath. He declared, “The battle is the Lord’s!” (1 Samuel 17:47). With one shot from his sling, the stone struck Goliath on the forehead, and the giant fell! David proved that with God’s power, we can overcome even the greatest challenges.
